ISLAMABAD: At least two people were killed while 42 others sustained injuries in different rain-related incidents in Bannu on Wednesday. The injured have been shifted to the hospitals after which the local administration has pulled its socks up to control the situation. Heavy rain with thunderstorm badly disrupted routine life, whereas gusty winds uprooted the trees and signboards in different areas, a private TV channel reported. Low-lying areas drenched in the downpour, while power supply was also suspended. On the other hand, people are facing difficulties in transportation as land sliding blocked roads in Abbottabad. Several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also witnessed heavy rainfall after which the water level in the rivers rose to an alarming condition.
