MUZAFFARABAD: Jammu Martyrs Day has been observed on both sides of line of control in Jammu and Kashmir like rest of the world on Sunday to commemorate the supreme sacrifices.
A big rally led by member Legislative Assembly Bashir Mustafa of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and former minister and leader of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf AJK Khawaja Farooq Ahmed was being taken out from Central Press Club.
While addressing the rally, the speakers said that over 0.250 million Muslim inmates of Jammu city and adjoining areas were martyred on 6th of November 1947 while they were moving for migrating to their newly borne beloved homeland Pakistan.
They said we remember the great sacrifices of lives rendered by men, women, children and elderly Muslims who were mercilessly slaughtered by the armed Hindu gangsters including the Indian occupying and the Dogra military troops near Jammu Sialkot working boundary under a nefarious pre-planned conspiracy while they were proceeding for migrating to their beloved homeland Pakistan.
Special ceremonies including seminars and symposiums were also held in other parts of the AJK to pay glorious tributes to the Jammu martyrs.
